“Fantastic break in a beautiful place! Tom’s local knowledge really helped us. Very peaceful location and surrounding area. Carding Mill Valley was lovely, including a ‘wild’ swim. Really enjoyed cycling and playing football on Long Mynd too!” Mark Wilde & family

“Just finished a 5 night stay at Dove Cottage and we were simply blown away. Outrageously styled and the attention to detail is stunning. The cottage was impeccably clean upon arrival and Tom extended a warm welcome to us. The cottage is a beautiful base to explore all that the Shropshire hills have to offer, with a gorgeous pub stumbling distance away down the lane. Be sure to sit outside and take in all the wildlife that emerge around dusk, from owls to hedgehogs and even the odd cheeky ginger tom ‘Chester’ from next door 😉 Thanks from the ‘Days’.” James Day & family

“Great place. Lovely bedrooms and shower rooms with great outdoor space. Host made sure to pop in and say hello. Great location in countryside but with Shrewsbury only 30 mins away. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.” Stuart Thornton

“A beautiful Nest retreat in a quiet valley with walks from the doorstep. A very special and unique dwelling. Extremely beautifully decorated with gorgeous furnishings and paintings. So cleverly put together with functionality and style. The terrace with fire pit was a sunny evening supper place. We were so lucky with the weather and grilled outside every night. The front terrace garden is so pretty with tranquil lavender and nodding Michaelmas daisies. Just loved the rain shower after our walks. The surrounding area is challenging and dramatic, the hills turn into mountains. Will return again to see it in all seasons. Bet Nest is very cosy in the Winter months too. Thanks Tom and family for sharing your peace. The Matthiesen family.” Bee Matthiesen & family

“We absolutely love our stay at the Nest. It was such a gorgeous little properly, perfect for two couples. Good kitchen (although if you are planning on specific meals do check with Tom beforehand for amenities) and lovely bathrooms. Tom was so helpful before our stay with recommending things to do and sending directions etc, and was so welcoming whilst we were there. Would definitely recommend!” Kate Gilpin

“Had a wonderful time, the accommodation is outstanding, the location beautiful and the host’s local knowledge a real added advantage in making this a most memorable stay for all the right reasons.” Lisa Keenaghan

“The cottage was perfectly located and very well equipped. Tom (and Miles!) were very welcoming and offered tips on what to do and where to visit. It is a very clean cute cottage in a beautifully secluded area. Very close to the Long Mynd and Church Stretton. We also recommend Ludlow and Shrewsbury. There is a pub about 10 minute walk away which does great food and a lovely atmosphere. We give the cottage 10/10, definitely recommend!” Vickie Davis & family

“We loved our stay at the Nest! It is beautifully and stylishly decorated with great taste and flair. We appreciated the many thoughtful touches such as biscuits in the tin and milk in the fridge, and recommendations for local places to eat. Both rooms have en suite bathrooms with fantastic showers and baths, so it would be suitable for a family of four or two couples, and is very comfortable. The kitchen space is well equipped. We had everything we needed to make meals, and there is even a dishwasher. There’s a lovely little courtyard outside with table and chairs. We would highly recommend Tom’s place and would certainly love to return again!” Clementine Lovell & family

“Beautiful cottage in a peaceful location. Lots of lovely touches in the cottage and really helpful and attentive host. Good food at the local pub, within walking distance and excellent walking from the cottage. Well worth a return visit.” Kevin Morgan

“What a beautiful spot! Just like the pictures show. Tom and his wife have obviously spent a lot of effort to make the place beautiful. Kitchen has everything you need including a dishwasher, plus there’s a washer and dryer if needed. Only a 10 minute walk to the local pub which is beautiful, friendly and has tasty food. This place is deep in the countryside and has great walks you can take from your doorstep. Tom is a wonderful host and was very responsive every time we needed help.” Lisa Panchmatia & family

“Perfect weekend escape with our two and three year old girls in Shropshire. We loved Dove cottage. It was set up great for our kids and we had a fantastic time. Tom was great with communication and gave us some awesome tips about walks, food and things to do that are child and adult friendly. Would recommend this for anyone looking to explore Shropshire a great place to base yourself and just off the A49 so Accra is great but the cottages are in a very quiet secluded spot. Absolutely perfect.” Rob Diamond & family

“If you want seclusion, perfection and all your home comforts look no further. Tom & Emily’s barn was just perfect for our Easter weekend stay. The barn is easily located for access to Shrewbury and Church Stretton but if you don’t want to venture far there’s a pub just 10 minutes away. The walk along the lake and country lanes is lovely. The accommodation is perfect and the attention to detail on the design and features is something you’d expect to find in an interior design magazine. We can’t wait to go back in the summer to make the most of the private grounds and courtyard. Highly recommended! Well done guys. All the best, M&B.” Mat Jones

“This is a really stylish little place. It’s a newly converted barn with great attention to detail. The bed is very comfortable, and the bath and shower brand new with oodles of hot water. You can walk from the door, but best walks need a short drive. OS map and couple of walking guides provided in the house. We stayed for a week and didn’t run out of stunning walks, and much less busy than the Lakes.” Pippa Childs

The owners Tom & Emily are superb hosts, they make you feel at home instantly and if you need anything just ask and they will go out of their way to help you. “A lovely little barn conversion very close to Church Stretton and the Long mynd and a very short drive from Shrewsbury but with a middle of the country feel. The heating and hot water were wonderful plus the wood burner with all the wood you need made this December break very cosy. The barn is very well kitted out with beautiful decor and thoughtful touches like a map and walking guides to the area, tea and coffee, bread and cake provided and a lovely warm cupboard to dry off your walking boots. The owners were very pleasant and on site if you need anything. Would definitely go back again.” Melanie Frankel

“We took a business break away to Shropshire and stayed at Nest during our time down there. What can we say, the accommodation, hospitality and surroundings were all sensational! We felt very relaxed outside of business duties which allowed our team to recharge our batteries in the beautiful comfort of the accommodation. We were really impressed by the interior standard of the cottages, all of which blended a fitting countryside warmth with a contemporary lifestyle injection. A perfect bliss getaway (even if it was for work purposes). We’ll be back soon for sure – next time we may even take up the Figaro rental!” Dan Rose

“We loved our stay. The log fire was amazing, truth be told Sunday night I got carried away and we were too hot but that’s because I was too keen ha ha. If we need to stay in the area in the future we will sure check availability at Nest. We used Jemima’s Kitchen every morning for breakfast and they made Henry very welcome. Dog bowl of water too. The local pub landlord was very friendly and the food was delicious. Butty Bach is a great beer.” Dean Hitchens
